Have you ever thought long and hard about why winners— winning individuals, winning teams and winning organizations—win? I know, I have. And here is what I recently learned about this not-so-surprising phenomenon.
Winners win because they play by a different set of rules.
Here is what I mean.
Winners do NOT focus on problems, obstacles, setbacks or failures because they understand that focusing on problems: (1) exacerbates existing problems; and (2) invites more problems into their reality. Winners are laser-focused on nurturing their passion and are committed to gaining mastery of their craft or niche.
Winners have an extremely high view and regard of themselves. They are intentional about taking time for self-love, self-care and self-renewal. Winners relish in triumph and hate defeat—they know how to convert success into greater success opportunities while minimizing less-than favorable outcomes. Winners celebrate both their grow opportunities (limitations) and strengths.
In this episode of The Mindfullness Show, I also discuss the importance of not being distracted by outside noise; giving yourself a command and following it; making a long-term commitment to your craft; and more.
