How To Stay Positive

In this podcast episode, I delve into how to stay positive and capture the beautiful moments in life.

How do you remain positive when everything seems to be working against you? What do you do?

First, understand the role your perception of reality plays in your life. This is to say that while it might appear as if “everything’ is working against you, that is most often NOT the case. Hardships and difficulties are not permanent. Even if problems stick around for a while, you are not your problems. You are greater than the challenges that rear their heads.

Secondly, where your focus goes, your energy flows. Yes, life dealt you a bad hand and it sucks. But you have the choice either to spend your days sulking or to direct your energy toward creating the experiences you believe can produce the most compelling and long-term value. So, focus on your ability to create any reality you desire.

Lastly, take time to celebrate the good things that are happening in your life. Celebrate the person you are becoming. Recognize that there are certain things in life that are beyond your control. You can always choose how you respond to situations. Invest your energy into experiences that will contribute to your growth and development through the lifespan. So, choose to be positive and live happily.

  1. […] Time and again, when I listen to these podcasts, I get transported to, where my poems came from. When I struggled to the point of feeling ‘I can’t go on’ …I told myself ‘I struggle only because I deny some perspective’ Please listen to this, a very heartfelt, personal plea and inspiration to find a powerful perspective for anything you call Life! https://josiahharry.com/2017/05/09/how-to-stay-positive/ […]

  2. I find that to stay positive, I must let go of negative people in my life who bring me down. This sounds unloving, but I think it is actually the more loving thing to do.
