Tell Your Story

In this podcast episode, I talk about the power of storytelling and how you can use your story to create, educate and inspire.

I love listening to people’s stories. There is so much richness and life listening to how people started their journey—how they overcame obstacles and how they are navigating their present reality.

Everyone has a story—a powerfully gripping and inspiring narrative. You have a story and the power of your story is what makes you the inestimable person you are. One of the things we need to do more often is celebrate our own story. If you take time to examine everything that had to take place in order for you to be where you are today—that’s a book of life lessons from which everyone can grow and become better versions of themselves.

And here is the interesting thing. No one has a monopoly on telling a great story. Yes, there are many prolific writers and celebrity authors whose stories seem more compelling and fascinating. But there is not a single person in the world who can tell your story the way you can.

It is your story, and no one has lived your experiences. Too often, we find pleasure in listening and recounting the story of others rather than taking time to celebrate our own story—the very thing that makes us unique and sets us apart from everyone else.

Tell your story to the world. There is something uniquely compelling about you. Give the world an opportunity to learn and grow from your story of happiness and overcoming. Harness the power of your story and create experiences that will inspire hope for a better and brighter tomorrow.

  1. This is an amazing post and one in which I truly believe. Many a time, in some point in our lives, we are often given a give-or-take chance to share the story of our lives. We often shrink back to our comfort zone embracing that solitude that we often believe is so comforting. The truth is that the most amazing post you could ever write, the most amazing painting you could paint, the most influential song you could ever sing, is the story of your life. It takes time to realise who you are but once you do, let the world know. We often believe that we have to be famous to be that story-teller. Wrong. We all have something in common. We are unique. Even if you can’t say it, you can live it. So go out there. Share it to the world with your lives!!!!!

  2. I love this. I always say that nobody can ever quite tell your story the way that you do. We each have magnificient and unique lives, each with a powerful story, journey and an array experience. Our story, our journey can be the very one to connect to the person who meeds to hear it the most. I am an Author and Publisher and am always looking out for the everyday woman with extraordinary stories of overcoming adversity-for it is these stories that enrich our lives and others. Thanks for the awesome post.
